Domestic partners and their daughter at New York City's 1995 Labor Day parade.  The photograph symbolizes the acceptance of domestic partnership and same-sex relationships as part of the overall effort to include sexual orientation as one of the criteria in measuring equality of rights.

Marchers Miriam Frank and Desma Holcomb co-authored Pride at Work:  Organizing for Lesbian and Gay Rights in Unions, a bargaining guide published in 1990 to raise lesbian-gay consciousness in unions and union consciousness in the gay and lesbian community.
